Artist Bio

I am a Dallas based artist whose practice surrounds ideas of light and divinity. My current works vary in material, ranging from soft paste to gouache to print making. I am exploring light in a broad sense, depicting everything from the small moments that one would skip over to the way that bright light confuses the brain. Throughout my work there is an underlying feeling of divinity that derives primarily from Christian artwork.

I am in the process of receiving a BFA in drawing and painting as well as a BA in art history from the University of North Texas. I hope to use my two degrees to pursue a career in art conservation as well as continue developing my studio practice. When it comes to art conservation I want to specialize in the restoration of Italian renaissance and Italian biblical art.
